November 2017

Armin won the best poster award of the Materials Engineering department at the Auburn University’s College of Engineering Research Showcase.

Jafar won the honorary place for his poster at the Auburn University’s College of Engineering Research Showcase.


September 2017

Dr. Beidaghi, Armin VahidMohammadi, and Jafar Orangi Attended the 232nd ECS Fall meeting held in National Harbor, M.D.

Jafar presented his poster titled “Development and Optimization of Capacitive Deionization for Treatment of High-Strength Agricultural Waters” in the ECS Meeting. He won the best poster award in their symosium, congratulations to him!

Armin presented two talks titled “Hybrid Electrodes of Conducting Polymers and Two-Dimensional Ti3C2(MXene) for Li and Na Ion Storage” and “Aluminum Intercalation and High Capacity of Two-Dimensional (2D) Vanadium Carbide (MXene) Cathode in Rechargeable Aluminum Batteries” in addition to a poster titled “Two-Dimensional Transition Metal Carbides (MXenes): A Large Family of Cathode Materials for Rechargeable Aluminum Batteries” in the ECS meeting.


August 2017

Dr. Beidaghi and Emre Kayali Attended the XXVI International Materials Research Congress 2017 held in Cancun, Mexico.

Dr. Beidaghi presented his talk titled “Cathode Materials for Aluminum Batteries”  at the XXVI International Materials Research Congress 2017 held in Cancun, Mexico.

Emre presented his talk titled “Effect of Processing on the Lateral Size, Number of Layers, and Electrochemical Performance of 2D MXenes” at the XXVI International Materials Research Congress 2017 held in Cancun, Mexico.


April 2017

Dr. Beidaghi attended the 2017 MRS Spring meeting held in Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. Beidaghi presented his talk titled “Two-Dimensional Vanadium Carbide (MXene) as a High Capacity Cathode Material for Rechargeable Aluminum Batteries”  at the 2017 MRS Spring meeting held in Phoenix, AZ.
